In robotics class at CAS Colombo School, our 6th graders had an unforgettable experience building their own EV3 LEGO robot puppies! Through this hands-on project, they learned about the fascinating world of robotics and technology, including assembling complex parts, programming movements, and even experimenting with sensors to make their robot puppies respond to touch, sound, and obstacles.
The students were thrilled to see their creations come to life! They practiced coding commands, designing routines for their puppies to follow, and adding personal touches to make each robot unique. Along the way, they discovered how robotics can blend creativity with technical skills, making each session both educational and exciting.
Not only did they gain valuable skills in coding and engineering, but they also learned about teamwork, patience, and problem-solving. Watching their puppies “walk” and “wag their tails” was a moment of pride and joy for everyone. By the end of the project, the students left the classroom with big smiles and a newfound love for robotics, ready to tackle future projects with confidence and enthusiasm!
