Every year, the Math Olympiad call for the brightest young minds from schools around Colombia to consider their problem-solving skills and mathematical expertise. This year, a group of remarkable students emerged as finalists, representing CAS. Their dedication, hard work, and passion for mathematics, not only earned them recognition but also inspired many other students.
The path to becoming a Math Olympiad finalist is demanding. To qualify, students must participate in four previous tests which position them as the best participants from the school and gave them the option of attending the finals at the Universidad Antonio Nariño last October 17th. This last test included a variety of 10 challenging problems that examined students’ understanding of concepts, such as geometry, number theory, and main operations.
