This past Saturday, May 17, our school came alive with joy, movement, and connection during our second CAS Family Run. What was planned as a running event quickly became a beautiful celebration of family, health, and community.
The atmosphere was filled with excitement. Parents, siblings, and students came together not just to compete, but to enjoy being together with a sense of belonging. Participants joined in three race categories—Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced—ensuring that everyone, regardless of age or fitness level, had a chance to take part. Beyond the races, it was a reminder that physical activity strengthens bonds and creates memories.
Many families were present to cheer, run, and enjoy the warmth and enthusiasm of the CAS community. While the crowd there in attendance was impressive, the event’s success was measured more in the smiles, the teamwork, and the sense of unity that uplifted the spirits of all those who were present.Perhaps the most meaningful moment of the whole event was the awards ceremony with cheers and applause as the top racers in each category were recognized; however, it was equally meaningful to hear the applause for each participant. Every runner was recognized for the effort, dedication, and spirit that was shown. It was truly a beautiful event that celebrated perseverance, joy, and fair play, with the true reward being the shared experience.
We want to extend our heartfelt thank you to all the families, teachers and administrative staff who joined us for this event. Your support and enthusiasm truly make events like this special.
Look forward to the next CAS Family Run which is already being planned with new challenges, fresh energy, and even more opportunities to connect as one big CAS family.
