The Jenga Code workshop, which our 5th and 6th grade students participated in, allowed students to explore the idea that technology is not just about doing more, it’s about doing it in a smart way.
Through fun and engaging activities, students tackled complex challenges using simple coding languages, like: block coding, ScratchJr, Scratch, and Micro:bit. They also worked with Bee-Bots to develop problem-solving skills and computational thinking. The goal was to demonstrate that even big problems can have simple solutions, and sometimes going back to basics is the smartest way to move forward.
Students left the workshop feeling inspired to keep experimenting, building, and coding, with creativity and simplicity at the core.
