At CAS, we believe that learning happens best when students feel motivated, supported, and actively involved. That is why our Math Department has been strengthening the way we use technology in the classroom, not as a replacement for what we already do well, but as a complement that enriches learning. In 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade, students are now using Matific, an interactive platform that helps them practice and understand math concepts in a fun and meaningful way. Many students are even choosing to continue practicing at home, building positive study habits with the support of their families.
And 4th and 5th grade are not left behind. They have been working with Gimkit, a game-based platform that turns practice into engaging experiences. Students answer questions, make decisions, and stay focused while learning; something that is not always easy to achieve in traditional formats. Beyond the fun, this tool helps strengthen memory, attention, and confidence when working with math.
Most importantly, this is all part of a responsible and balanced use of technology. At CAS, we are not replacing notebooks, discussions, or teacher guidance, we are combining the best of what we already have with the opportunities that digital tools offer. This balance allows us to support different learning styles while helping students grow as confident, independent learners in today’s world.
