This past April 9th, our kindergarten students enjoyed a meaningful and engaging project launch that brought learning to life through a creative role play led by the teachers. This special activity marked the beginning of the project we will be exploring throughout the school year. Through this story, students discovered the journey of food from the earth to our table, beginning with a visit to farmers, who showed how food is grown and collected with care.
Then, students met the transporter who delivers food to supermarkets and local stores. The journey then led to the supermarket, where food is selected and purchased, before finally arriving home to be prepared, cooked, and shared around the family table. This interactive experience sparked curiosity and excitement while helping students develop a deeper appreciation for the journey food takes before it gets to their homes. We’re excited to see all the new learning our students will experience through the engaging activities teachers have planned to make learning meaningful and enjoyable for everyone.
