Several activities took place during August at CAS, encouraging an active participation from our students. Members of our community were invited to exercise their creativity and engagement as they take part in these projects for creating new, impactful experiences. As MUNCAS and English Day are considered special and emblematic journeys, this time, new innovations face off new challenges and provide great opportunities towards learning.
To start, English Day promoted the diversity of art as a universal language for artists and movements to express themselves during important eras. For instance, students’ presentation throughout the journey reflected the unusual clothing, the energetic participation of teachers and the representation of the multiple talents of students. Observing the journey through the students’ decorations and hard work made the day a unique and a memorable way of learning the importance and value of art and the artists who expressed themselves through their work.
To continue, MUNCAS was also an important event for the school. Like every year, it invites people to immerse themselves into a new world of academic participation. Its 20th anniversary showed a new variety of committees, enhancing many debatable topics and issues that reflect the globe. While many presidents tried to convince students to approach their committees, it is certain that there is already an increase in participation to hone their skills and abilities in debating, negotiating, and watch out important news that surround the issues.
To sum up, these events made members learn about the value and purpose behind the activities. Although MUNCAS and English Day seem repetitive each year, the importance of following these traditions may relate to the history CAS has been through, and the experience that it has gained from its ups and downs. Needless to say, these events had a wonderful impact on all participants, who should trive to keep up participation and being part of a great opportunity.
