On August 11th, our Primary students celebrated Math Day with great enthusiasm through two exciting activities that brought mathematics to life. The Flea Market gave students the opportunity to apply their trading skills in a real-world setting as they bought, sold, calculated prices, and managed money. It was wonderful to see students confidently using mathematical thinking while developing communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in a fun and interactive environment.
Another highlight of the day was the Mental Math Cookie Contest, where students challenged themselves to solve calculations quickly and accurately to get points and rewards. The competition encouraged students to strengthen their mental math strategies while demonstrating perseverance, focus, and a positive attitude toward learning. The Math Team is incredibly proud of all the students for their participation, enthusiasm, and willingness to embrace mathematical challenges, making this year’s Math Day a memorable and successful celebration of learning.
