Promoting speaking skills in our Preschool

At our CAS preschool we are always looking for ways to make our young learners the true protagonists of their learning journey in a second language, in meaningful and fun ways. To support this goal, we have invited families to join us in the “Star of the Week” project. Each week, one student shares with the class the most important information about themselves. Starting with their names, age, favorite foods, colors, and movies, our little ones in Nursery have enjoyed presenting who they are in creative and engaging ways.

Activities like this offer wonderful opportunities for students to develop the skills they need to use English in their everyday lives. Not only do the children enjoy standing at the front and sharing their information with classmates, but they also do so with enthusiasm and independence, proudly presenting what they have prepared with their parents at home.
