Last Saturday, May 23rd, a representative group of first and second grade students participated in the Bee Bot Challenge Bogotá. This was, without a doubt, a great opportunity for our students to continue approaching computational thinking challenges, as well as facing teams from other schools in an enriching, educational and competitive environment.
This experience led us to recognize and thank the commitment of students, teachers, parents and the school’s administrative team; together we have made progress from the benchmark of computational thinking: strengthening our students’ problem solving, spatial orientation, mathematical skills, communication, teamwork, motor skills and creativity.
Each challenge on the Bee Bot map provided our students with the possibility of exploring and enhancing each of these cognitive, technological, social and motor skills, thus providing a fundamental pillar to take on other types of challenges in higher grades.
We will continue to look for enriching challenges for our students. Congratulations to all our participants!
